For years i only played the E9th except on the steel guitar rag. About three years ago I decided i was going to learn the C6th neck. Now when i sit down to practice Ill spend 75% of the time on the C6th neck. I love the sound of it better than the E9th. So I guess its in tune.

Define "in tune". Image

Seriously, I don't tune it on Open Hearts gigs because I don't have my parts worked up for it, but I tune it at home and whenever I take it out to play country. It's a fun neck.

It looks like a lot of us can't get along without the C6th neck. It's like Roger said, and the range and richness are irrestible imo.

I play C6th when I probably should play E9th just to stay up to par. The voicing's have a goose bump effect on me that I've liked since my first Chalker listen. Ken

I bought a amp from a Forum member about 2 weeks ago in North Carolina. He had it hooked up to a very nice D10 Emmons for me to try out. He didn't have his C6th neck in any kind of tune.
I got to thinking of how many times I have found that when I was looking at or playing someone else guitar.
I don't play much, at all, on the C neck but I tune it just in case one of you good players stop by for a visit. Image

Look guys, I'm ten years old... Well, my wife says I act like I'm ten... Anyways, One you learn C6th, I don't see how you can live without it.

My 9th neck is the one that's never tuned, don't even hook up the first three pedals any more, the only drawback in just playing the 6th neck, you lose the armrest that most 9th players use the 6th neck for.
