So, Chas, you are saying he invented the motorcycle?
Bigbsy eventually became the shop foreman at Crocker and was a pattern maker.
Al Crocker was the designer.
I imagine you also think that when Bigsby worked as a pattern maker for the WWII war effort, he invented the Navy's battleships as well?

Lotsa mechanical inventions/refinements were taking place locally in 20’s-30’s. Indy car OHC engine/chassis creators were clustered around in the same areas of LA where you live now, Chris. BTW, is that your car parked in the background of that pic?
