HI BAZ,

I enjoyed listening to your tunes, played on your Fender 1000 psg. "Midnight In Amarillo" has always been one of my favorites.
Please refresh our memory on the tunings you have on the upper & lower necks of your guitar.

Sorry I forgot the NON PEDAL NECK, Just to stay "On Topic" and in the right mode (Steel with no pedals)

The B11th tuning :-
1. E
2. C#
3. A
4. F#
5. D#
6. B
7. A
8. B

And I've added a Spanish guitar number to the Luau videos,

Hello Basil,

Thanks for your tunings.

If you take requests, I would like to hear "Mauna Kea" on the B-11th tuning. ???

Roger, I will It's also going to be tabbed in the next issue of Aloha Dream.

The limitations of the Fender 1000 are single raise and single lower, so, the the notes of the OPEN tuning of A7 are neither East(Flat) or west(sharp) they're the Prime Meridian >:-)
And, not a tuning I use much :P

On reflection I think of East as sharp and West as flat, how about you ?,

Absolutely stunning rendition of Danny Stewart's "Ku'uipo"... I've not heard a more beautiful version, live or on record, in the islands or elsewhere!

Jeff Mahalo Nui Loa, Pat will be pleased, as she says I should treat the playing and singing a little or a LOT more seriously.
I'll post a different camera angle of that song, later today. You may find it interesting how I read the lyrics !!.

Hi Baz, I don't know if it's because we live on opposite sides of the pond or because we drive on opposite sides of the road, but I think of sharp as North and flat as South.??? :)

The B11th neck is North of the A7th one so A is lower than B :- Therefore Rog, I think of North as UP and South as Down as per a map, and West of the bar would be flat and East of the bar would be sharp !! (That is assuming that I'm facing North and not facing DECCA)

But what about forward and back, is that in and out or Here and There ?

Not a lot to do with lap steel, but my next reply will be.

The playing isn't the best but the quick quip at the end to the "person" commenting, is classic "Basil" !
Especially the gesticulation ! >:-)

Don't worry Patrick, we'll see you at the Shustoke Convention First weekend in September Fri. Sat. and Sunday.

Here is the OTHER take of Kuu HIPPO, (Thanks Jeff) the hippo is relevant 'cause there's a very rotund guy in the shot. (Should Be!- Shot that is)
