Jody Carver's Fender Stringmaster Club
In honor of our fearless leader I thought it would be fun to start a club.
All Fender steel guitars are welcome. You only have to be a little crazy to join.
I think this could be fun
Anyone interested???

Let's see now...we'll need a title for our illustrious leader. How about:
The Exhaulted High Commissioner of Tweed ?
COUNT ME IN !

Count me in. I support "His Tweedness" as The Exhaulted High Commissioner of Tweed and anything else he cares to lead his Fender minions too.

Under the aluminum foil that is in the cavity
careful the aluminum is a ground shield and the aluminum foil is stapled. Remove it carefully if you do. But WHY? that guitar is more than likely a 56 or 57 at best.
Accept that as a fact. oops...The cavity meaning where the pickups are mounted.
Try neck closest to you.

To Earthling (love it) Dave,
"but we could promote him"
Hmmm, if we used chess power parlance, Bishop would be a lateral, that doesn't work for a lot of reasons. Next step up--Rook, Let's see, "Rook Carver". Nope, no good there. What's left? Que....noooo, let's not go there!! King Jody Carver or "the King". I don't think he'd like that!!
How 'bout Master of the Fender Universe and the realm of Stingmaster's? Emperor Fender? Oh well....????
Joey, Decoder Rings? I like it, but the rumor issss, we would get what Jody calls a "pizzamaster".

and no club is a club without a theme song.
ah one, ah two, ah three (in JI now)
I've got a club
You've got a club
Everybody's gotta have a club
But there's only one real club for me
Good ole' Jody's club
Now about that photo of Jody's stump (
)
It dates back to the days of yore. There were gallant Knights, but the people needed a leader. The legend was, he who could extract the Stringmaster from the Stump would be destined to rule. They came from Neer and far but to no avail could any knight extract the Stringmaster.
Then one day, a young lad in a windbreaker approached the stump. Nobody had taken notice. Scratching his.....head, he strummed the back neck and upon hearing an A6, grabbed the Stringmaster and effortlessly drew it from the stump. The people gasped. Here was their leader. He was then presented with a tweed case and dubbed Knight.
His first act as The Knight of Fender Tweed,.....was at the Village Barn. He played three sets, had a couple of egg creams and took the bus home.
Moral of this story.....where there's a will........there's a relative.
[This message was edited by HowardR on 11 January 2005 at 05:52 PM.]

I'm in! Send me the decoder ring asap! I need to figure out what my wife is saying about all these instruments cluttering up the house. Something about a "garage sale" or some such gibberish. Must be an alien life form sonewhere in her background.
