Fruit-of-the-loom on steel

Post by A. J. Schobert »

Did you see that! The latest fruit-of-the-loom commercial? The apple sings a great ballad then in closing the grape ask's "where's my steel guitar solo" (I thought it was the grape) I would realy like to see the grape on steel I think he would do a fine job.

I've seen the commercial and I love the part about the steel guitar solo. The vocals were actually done by Collin Raye. The little song on the commercial should've had a steel guitar in it. Brett, Emmons S-10, Morrell lapsteel, GFI Ultra D-10

It must be back in rotation, it's been around for a while.

I have also seen that Fruit Of The Loom commercial and was amused at the part where someone says,"Where's my Steel Guitar Solo?". After listening to it day after day, there IS the sound of a Steel Guitar in the chorus part of the clip...I think thats the Chorus...

Isn't the "inside joke" in that commercial is that the steel guitar part is the first thing to go when "modern" country is edited?

Makes me think that the writer knew someone
who plays steel.
