Cool" Frank Arnett Photo

Post by John Daugherty »

I found this old photo of Frank Arnett. This is back when he was "cool".
This shows the equipment he used to get his sound...... Fender 1000 and Fender Amp.
I think this was taken in the 1970s. It is now posted on my website.

I have Frank's MODEL T album. Frank did a great job on a Dick Stubbs tune, called Stubbin' South. When the guitar player took off on a solo, using echo & delay(?), I almost fell off my chair laughing. A very
unexpected surprise. ha ha ha

Roger, that guitar player would have to be Frank Arnett. He told me he played everything but fiddle on his albums, including dobro(Fireball Mail).
I remember Franks first echo gadget. He made a delay by putting a tape loop on a reel-to-reel recorder.
Frank and I both played Gretsch Chet Atkins Guitars and Fender 400s in the 1960s. When we worked together,we could switch back and forth on lead and steel.
