David and I played on the same outdoor show yesterday. I already knew he was an excellent player but he is also a super nice guy. David what a pleasure hanging out and talking with you. Your boss ain`t bad either Image

I first heard David at the Stoney's Smokey Mountain Steel Guitar Jamboree several years ago and thought he was the highlight of the day. Since then I've gotten to know him better, played a date with him, and booked him on a session in my studio. He's a champ of guy and a marvelous steel player. We'll undoubtedly be hearing a lot from him in the future.

Hey Hook,

Thanks a lot for the kind words. It was great meeting you yesterday, and getting to talk shop a little. I always think it is fun to share guitar/tuning/gear ideas. We made it through the night, after dodging rain! Your band sounded good, and I thought you put a good sound out front. That new, black Carter seems to fit you well. If we get back in your area again soon, I'll be sure to let you know.

Mike - I hope you are doing well my friend. I'm having a blast out here, and just trying to get better. Pretty cool to get paid for having fun!

I hope I'll see both of you again soon.
Thanks,

David Spires
