Slim Dossey And Roy Ayres

Post by Walter Stettner »

Dear Friends,

I have added another soundclip to the website:
www.austriansteelguitar.at.tf

Please go to the "Sounds" page and you'll find an MP3 of a track that was recorded in L.A. in 1966, featuring Slim Dossey (who sang with the Sons Of The Pioneers, Jimmy Wakely and Tex Williams) and our fellow forumite Roy Ayres on steel. Roy used a Fender 800 and a Fender Twin w/JBL speakers. It's a beautiful song called "Nothing But Pride".

Special note: If you are interested to get more Slim Dossey music - give him a call under (208) 772-7918, I am sure he appeciates the calls!

Kind Regards, Walter

Walter,
Thanks for posting Slim Dossey's record on your great web site.

For anyone who is interested, Slim was inducted into the "Seattle Western Swing Society's" Archives in 1994 along with Moon Mullican (with whom I also recorded on King Records), Tex Willaims, Jimmy Wakely, and world-known steel guitarists Bob White and Herb Remington. The page showing those famous western swing artists is at
