Mike Sweeney new CD Tone on Tone
Mike played a great set at the NTSGA on Saturday and I purchased his latest CD Tone on Tone. I think this is one of the best to come along in a while. All the songs are well played, but my favorites are Love In The Hot Afternoon, Walk Softly On The Bridges and Wherever You Are.
Smiley Roberts said Mike is a underated player, however this CD shows he belongs at the top of the list in my book. This is steel guitar at its best.

Dan,
Thanks so much for the kind words. I cut "Love In The Hot Afternoon" because my wife likes the tune and I'm glad I did. The tune "Wherever You Are" is not as familiar as some of the others but it's a great old Johnny Paycheck song from the mid '60's on the Little Darlin' label. The other song "Walk Softly On The Bridges" is a Mel Street song.
I'm glad you like it Dan and thanks again.
As far as being underated, I don't know, but I can say I've made alot of friends by playing my steel guitar and that means alot to me.
