This was in my in box when I got home..I KNOW I saw a guy that looked familiar, but I couldn't put a name to the face. Wish I'd have recognized him, he's a legend I'd like to have met....
Ah well, next time.

Buddy,
We went out to the Texas Steel Guitar Association Jamboree last night. I
saw Ralph Mooney and John Hughey play, among others and hung out with
Mooney for a while. He's still in pretty good shape. Others that were
playing were: Hal Rugg, Denny Mathis, Mike Smith and Joe Wright. Tommy
Morrell played for dancing from midnight til 2 am. I even spotted someone
selling Buddy Cage T-Shirts!
(Cage's response) Yeah, that's my pal from Denver who does my website - JB Arnold! He's a hard-workin' (mortgage broker) who loves these steel conventions. Great place to pick up some tricks. AND meet legends like Moon! It kills me that Waylon couldn't live this long - he was a big Mooney fan as well. Glad you had a ball. Great time.
Love ya Jim! bc
