Latest Endorsements by top SG Players?

Post by Eric West »

I've heard a rumor that there might be a plan afoot to "comp" some top name players with Old Sho~Buds,Fenders or Bigsbys gain an official endorsement, and raise the value of these old "gems".

Seriously though, I was wondering who is doing the latest "Official Endorsements", and just how it's going.

I looked through a couple of sites that used to sport them, and they seem to be absent.

I'd put a "Moose Lodge/Truck Stop Endorsement" in on a ZB D 10 if someone sent me one.

Hi, Eric, I certainly wouldn't be considered a "top player" but I'm a bit top heavy... I've been fortunate to have ongoing endorsement arrangements with Peavey, John Pearce Bars and Strings, Hilton electronics, and now the wonderful TrueTone pickups. (more details on my site). I'm only interested in promoting the stuff I actually use on stage, and all of this gear is truly superior! Although I sure do enjoy my trusty '54 Fender Dual pro, and I'd be happy to work out something there... Image

I suppose the one I've been waiting for is a used Sho~Bud site with a "top 5 name" endorsement. I think it would be really catchy.

"Emmons Steel Guitars" Endorsed by.....

I've already tried coming up with some catchy marketing slogans for Peavey, as in my Sig, but they haven't contacted me so far.

Peavey: "More than you'd expect for $500".

Session 500: "Shin Splints are a small price to pay for reliability."

Deltaverb: "Delay times attenuated in factory chosen intervals for simplicity."

"Satisfaction guaranteed, or you can sell it and buy another model."

"What do you expect for that price"(quote from PV rep)
