Idug out an old George Jones concert in Florida, Video tonight. It is very good. Thesteel player was Tom Killen, I dont ever hear any thing about him now.

Thanks for the response fellas . He sure was playing some pretty sounds. I havent heard George for some time.I know he hasnt stoppedplaying.
I had the oppertunity to visit with George and Nancy , at thier place in Texas, but I havent seen him lately. I did see his sister at Tuffys ,in Mauriceville Texas one night.

Jones sings better today than he did five years ago.
Back In our younger years Waylan used to say George was the only singer that could make a three syllable word out of I.
And with Killen playing steel....It just don't get much better than that. I think he took over the steel seat when Sonny left. And I also have that video. "Pure Country" with George Strait Is also good. It's a movie.

George Jones will be performing at Wild Adventures Theme Park near Valdosta, GA. this Saturday, Feb. 8th.
I hope to meet Tom Killen at the show, and I sure am looking forward to hearing both him and the Possum.
I will be playing steel with the opening act on the program, The Michael Stacey Band. If any fellow Forumites come to the show, come by and say hello.
