I recently had a Sho-Bud Pro 1 pickup rewound by Jerry Wallace/Truetone Pickups and WOW does it sound great! He changed a warped top plate, did some internal stuff, and put on a shielded hookup wire. I am very impressed with the sound to boot. (Thank you, Ricky Davis, for the referral.)

Jerry did a rewind/redo on a badly Microphonic ShoBud pickup for me on a Single-10 ShoBud...and it is very very amazing on how much better this Pickup re-wind that Jerry Does for these old ShoBud pickups.
It is the only way to keep any original ShoBud pickup in your guitar; by Getting Jerry Wallace to do this.....otherwise, rip the thing out and throw it away..and put a replacement in there.
Jerry does amazing work...and if you haven't experienced this man and his undying love for a real sounding pickup....well get on it...send yours right away...as I HIGHLY suggest Jerry Wallace in anything he does.
