On a return trip to Georgia yesterday, I listened to Joe Goldmark's 'Sweet Dreams' over and over from one end of South Carolina to the other.

I apologize, Joe, for not spending more time enjoying your music. Next time, I'll travel through a larger state.

You helped remind me what makes E9 steel guitar so beautiful.

Great enunciation! Great range! Great work!

It does not get any better than that, IMHO.

Odd coincidence, I was just about to sit down with a buddy and try to figure out Joe's version of that song. He sure do make it sound purdy, don't he?

Hey Chris,

Are you doing that by ear? Where can I get a copy of the tune?

Or... do you have the tab...if so, can you copy me?

I know I am being completely shameless with my request, but I want to learn all I can from a player like Buddy C.

I have it on a cassette tape that I recorded during a lesson from the giant himself. No tab yet, but if I could get off my ever widening behind I'll tab it as I go. Send me an e-mail so I'll have your address should I ever overcome my slothfull ways!!!

Hi Wade,
Thanks for listening and I'm glad you liked "Sweet Dreams". Personally I think my collaborator, Jim Campilongo's great guitar playing, is what makes that tune work. The 6/8 feeling comes from the Roy Buchanan version. Roy was one of Jim's heroes. Thanks again, Joe
