Buddy Booth/Table At ISGC?

Post by Dennis Detweiler »

Will Buddy have a booth set up at the convention...selling cds, etc? Or maybe Ernie?

Dennis,
Peggy and I will be located at the second booth to the left of the main entrance. There will be CDs and courses. If time is on our side, an hour and twenty minute video of the Emmons/Rugg Bell Cove jam will be available, so stop by and say hello.

Great news on the Bell Cove video, I'll definitely be grabbing one of those! Image

Will you also have the concert video that you mentioned a while back, the one you gave Scotty permission to release as long as he removed one song?

Buddy and Peggy
It's great to have you back at the ISGC.
You've been missed by all.
Probably be a waiting line at your booth.
May the musical gods of dollars bless you this weekend Image See you at the wailing wall.

Would someone volunteer to fill in for me at my job for a couple of days and give me the pay so I can go to St. Louis? Buddy, why don't you just cancel and come eat some beans and taters with the wife and me, and then we'll pick a little. Image

Oh, well, maybe I'll get to go someday... Image

It is my impression that Ernie is a pretty ok guy. I wouldn't sell him if I were you.

Any idea if you set will be steelradio-fied, Buddy?

LOL...I guess my sentence structure can go either way. Times are tough right now, so maybe Ernie has to go if the price is right? A little pimping at the Emmons booth. Something tight and sexy maybe. Now I'm talking clothing for Ernie!

I appreciate that, Dennis. I was thinking hip boots and a hairnet for myself.

Tight and sexy? Not a chance, pal! I'm leaning towards the hip boots and a hairnet, too.

BTW: My wife says if the price is right, I 'could' call home occasionally... What the... Hey...

Good thing we've all matured and we're not back at the Chase Park during the 70's. This could have gotten ugly! Image

Ernie,

Please don't wear hip boots and a hairnet.
I've never met Mr. Emmons and I would like to know how to pick him out in the crowd.

See ya there on Sunday.

Hmmm...I can just hear it now.

Sir, please describe what you saw.

"Well, he came a runnin' through the main ballroom entrance at the Millenium Hotel and turned left, jumped up on some tables and then kept on a runnin' wearing nothing but a smile! I hollered, 'Don't Look Ethel!'" Image

Does this mean if Joe gets through editing the tapes in time?

Bob,
Joe has edited the tapes and sent the master. I was concerned about the video company in Nashville having them ready for us before we left. I got word from Hal last night that he will pick the tapes up today.

Buddy, I have attended 30 of Scotty's Conventions. Of all those good times my favorite of them all was the year you were there with Ray Price. I know it is fun to play new things, but I sure would like to hear you sink you teeth into some old Ray Price this coming weekend. It will be something special to hear you play.
[This message was edited by Keith Hilton on 27 August 2002 at 03:27 PM.]
