Robert Randolph opening for Dave Matthews Band

Post by Jim Cohen »

Just returned from Grand Rapids and found a full-page, front-page article and huge photo of Robert Randolph on the Arts section of the Philadelphia Inquirer. He'll be opening for Dave Matthews here in Philly at the First Union Center, which is the huge arena in town. Seats 21,000 and it's sold out. The implications are sooo interesting to ponder....

Jim, My buddy from Yardley gave me that Article on Sat Night. Real nice!

I'm going on the 16th to The Garden in NY, hoping to see Robert backstage. My neighbor is a 'big-wig' at the Garden.

Nice color picture of that Yellow Carter in that article, It would make John,Ann,and Bud proud, logo and all!

Jimbeaux, This is off your posted topic but I would like to thank you for participation in the Michigan show. Your playing was superb and we are hoping you become one of our "regulars". Thanks again, F.R.

Jim, I will get to see Robert on the 20th of
April here in Northampton. I bought the tics a few days ago. He is playing at the Pearl Street club in N'ton.

Not that we're starved for great steel guitar here, but I sure wish RR and the Family would venture out of the Eastern Time Zone and play a few dates in Texas. I'm anxious to see them (him) live.

Randy ... it looks like they will be in New Orleans in May . . . is that close enough? Image And, I think they've been in Texas, Nevada, New Mexico, California, and other western states with plans to return down the road.

Check out the gig schedule at www.RobertRandolph.net

If you go, we'd love to hear how it went!
