Johnny Duncan "Someone stole my steel guitar"

Post by Heiko Aehle »

I found an interesting song by Johnny Duncan "Someone stole my steel guitar" about an stolen Sho-Bud steel. The song is maybe from the 60's and I wonder if someone knows how's playing the steel on that funny song??
The CD is from a 4 CD-Set of Bear Family Records, Germany.

I recall hearing the same song, but it was sung by Little Jimmy Dickins.

Johnnie did that on an L.P I think in the late 60's...recorded live in London.
He gave me a copy of it when he stayed with us about 1975.
We jammed all day and night for a week...he sang that song amongst many of the others.
He introduces the band on the L.P....if I can find it I will post it.....I think it may have been Gerry Hogan...I know it was an English guy.

I ain't never heard that song but I'd really like to. Could you post it as an audio MP3 so the rest of us could take a listen.
Thanks, Nick

Nick, as soon as I have this song on mp3 I will post here a link. As far as I know this song only is out as 4 CD set for nearly $100 in the online stores, for me too much to buy it, just only for one song - but maybe I find another way.
