Hey Kenny,

You're not too far away. A couple of hours, I would guess.

I've been playing music for over 35 years. Had a Fender 400 in the 70's but didn't really get serious about the steel guitar until October of 2000. I bought a used, mid-eighties SD-11 Dekley and learned quickly from my mentor. I switched from bass to steel in my band "Hickory" last October and haven't looked back. I'm loving it.

I've got an SD-10, 3&5, in black mica ordered from Emmons trough a local pro/dealer. Should be here in the near future as it has been about 16 weeks since I placed the order.

How about you?????

Perhaps we'll cross paths at some point. Who knows. If you're up in Evansville, be sure to call. 812-479-1655. Feel free to email me at "send email" above. Would love to hear form you.

Hello Tony Orth, I've only owned a steel for 4 years. Not any type of musician.Play harmonicia some.Ever since being akid loved the sound of the steel.Knew there would be a day I'd have to have one. Finally took the plunge.First steel was a S-B Maverick. Got it from a man who became a friend of mine, Mr Freeman Benton of Metropolis ILL. He treated me rite, gaveme a real good deal. Then stumbled across a D12 S-B. 8-pedals, 4kicks HAve really become serious about playing in the past 3 months. Have a mentor for about the past 2 months. He's played for years and has been a great help. I am now looking for a Nashville 400. Going to Nashville in a few weeks to look for 1, and going to Bobbe's(SGN).I am really lookin forward to that. Rite now I'm playing thru a Kustom Electronics amp.Not having heard anything but this Kustom,AND THEN HEARING a 400,No Bout Adoubt it gots to have a 400. Gonna make plans to go to St Louis convention.Never been to one. Looking forward to it, you ever been.Talk to you later.Gotta go to work.

Kenny,
My mentor is selling two Nashville 400s.
Want's $350 apiece. I think they are about 3 years old. He lives in Vincennes, Indiana. Let me know if you are interested.
