Dish Network and VCR

I know this isn't really a computer problem, but does anyone out there know how to tape something from a DishNetwork system onto videotape? When the guy came out to install it, he hooked up the VCR to do this, but I don't know what needs to be on what and where channel-wise. Would appreciate if anyone could help me. I wanted to tape the Opry show Saturday night with Johnny on it.

Assuming the output of your dish goes to the VCR then to your TV, and you tune your TV to channel 3 to watch the satellite programming, simply set your dish to the channel you want, your VCR to channel 3, and hit record.
