Cc: stands for Carbon Copy and Bcc: stands for Blind Carbon Copy. When you use Cc: The To: recipient can see the addresses of other recipients. When you use Bcc: the To: recipient cannot see or tell that the message was sent to anyone else.

A very good use for Bcc:, and one I'd like to see everyone use, is when sending a message to a large group of people. You can send the message without revealing the email addresses of everyone on the list.
