Sound Blaster Live

Post by Clarence Wilson »

My newer computer came with Me and SB Live installed, along with a digital sound system (Boston). I cannot record from any connection out to my tape recorder. I replaced the card yesterday with a sb 16 and
recorded all day long.
Today, I replaced the SB Live to my machine, hoping to overcome the problem, somehow. Do I have to purchase a digital recording system?

I use a Mackie and a Yamaha 4 track at the present time.

Thanks folks. ( and I am sposed to computer literate) Geez. I even forgot how to spell my password!!

You have to enable the output ports for whatever you want to do in the SB Live control panel or whatever they call the configuration program. I think the "rear" speaker output can either be a speaker or an analog line out depending on how it's configured.

Thanks Jack. It came to me as I slept and I came down and turned on the 'four speaker'
function and there it was. It is one o'clock
in the morning.
My wife and I are planning on spending the winter in St Pete again this winter, so might get over to meet you. Didn't make it
last winter, as we planned.

Clarence I moved the first of Aug. I'm now in Inverness, which is about 50 miles north of New Port Richey. But there's more country music and gigs around this area. I've already hooked up with a band and have had a couple of other calls about picking. Never got that down in New Port Richey.
