Major Virus Warning (?)
F.W.I.W. Don't know if this is "legit" or not. I don't worry about this stuff, because web tv is immune to viruses.(no hard drive).Just thought I'd pass this along.
=============================================
IF YOU GET THIS VIRUS..YOU WILL NEED A NEW COMPUTER!!
MAJOR VIRUS! (alert by Bell Canada)
PASS THIS ON TO ANYONE FOR WHOM YOU HAVE AN E-MAIL ADDRESS.....
If you receive an email titled "Let's watch TV", DO NOT OPEN IT.
It will erase everything on your hard drive. This information was announced yesterday morning from IBM; AOL states that "KALI" is a very dangerous virus, much worse than "Melissa," and that there is NO remedy
for it at this time.
Some very sick individual has succeeded in using the reformat function from Norton Utilities causing it to completely erase all documents on the hard drive. It has been designed to work with Netscape Navigator and Microsoft Internet Explorer. It destroys Macintosh and IBM compatible computers. This is a new, very Malicious virus and not many people know about it....
Pass this warning along to EVERYONE in your address book and Please share it with all your online friends ASAP, so that this threat may be stopped.
Forward this warning to everyone that might access the Internet.

Smiley-- Thanks for your concern. This, however, IS A HOAX!
This is copied from the Trend Antivirus site:
*****************************************
Hoax Name: KALI and Lets Watch TV Hoax
Description: A hoax email pretending to be an official virus alert from IBM is circulating on the Internet. According to this hoax, 'KALI' is a dangerous virus that destroys computers and has no cure. This virus is apparently received via an email titled 'Lets watch TV.' This information is false and Trend urges all email users to not propagate this hoax.

For more details go to
http://www.antivirus.com/vinfo/hoaxes/hoax5.asp?HName=KALI%20and%20Lets%20Watch%20TV%20Hoax
I urge everyone to first verify a 'virus warning' is real befor sending a bunch of email to others. The resulting overload of many systems is just what the buttheads who start these hoaxes want.
There are several web sites that track viruses - real and hoaxes - from which to get accurate info.

ANYTIME you get a message similar to the one above, almost 100% of the time it is a hoax. They all have similar key phrases in them that give them away. The "send this to everyone you know" is one that is used all the time. By sending it to everyone you know you have "flooded" the net with unnecessary e-mails, caused the unsusupecting to assume it is real, etc.
They usually quote or cite some legitimate company in the text also and is another flag that it's a hoax.
The threat that the virus will "destruct" your computer is also a give away.
Anytime I get one of those messages that I haven't seen before and don't know it to be a hoax I usually go to the McAfee web site and check out their hoax listing.
