If you have Outlook or Outlook express you can export your address book and all the e-mails you want to save to files. When you get the new PC you can import them back in. Also, don't forget to save your Account info so you won't have to rekey that in.

In Outlook (and I think Outlook Express is the same), click on "File" then "Import/Export" and follow the directions. I save my files as "Comma separated (Windows)" but there are other options. Your Account info can be saved by clicking on "Tools" then "Accounts".

If you have Internet Explorer, you can export your Favorites about the same way.

If you're anything like me, your email will never fit on a floppy. My Outlook mail, outlook.pst and archive.pst, total over 100 MB.

You'd be better off installing your old drive as a slave in your new system and copying from disk to disk, or burn the data you want to save to a CDR.
