I just accessed your page and the pix did not come up on my I.E. 5.01, kept waiting for it to complete loading the page but it never did. Strange, what program did you use to generate the web pages with??? This is only a "WAG", but could it be that it is dumping something out that I.E. doesn't like?

Jack, IE wants me to specify image height in pixels.
I set the pages up using Netscape Composer.
It just isn't working out between the two browsers. ????????

Tom:
Just checked your pages out with IE 5. Images loaded fine but took a very long time. Very tasteful site, and on behalf of Ricky and myself, thanks for the link.

I just accessed the page again and the pictures are coming up but very slow??? What resolution did you scan those in at?? The higher the resolution, the bigger the file and the longer it takes to load. According to Hewlett Packard, 75dpi is sufficient for internet pics.

I've had that problem when the quotation marks in the IMG tag weren't right. The quote marks must surround the URL without spaces, like this:
<pre>
<img src=<font color="red">"</font>http://www.b0b.com/b0b.jpg<font color="red">"</font>>
</pre><FONT SIZE=1 COLOR="#8e236b"><p align=CENTER>[This message was edited by Bobby Lee on 03 April 2000 at 06:11 PM.]</p></FONT>

Bob, I did find a misplaced period. Maybe that will help.
Jack, the resolution is set at 75dpi so I wonder if I just have to many big pics on one page.
Also the the scrolling for that pics page is jerky in Explorer but smooth in Netscape. ?????
Thanks for the help.

I noticed one pic was over 300K, that's relatively big for a web page picture and accounts for the amount of time it takes to load. That plus speeds of other network components can lead to a very long time to load. There are programs around that will reduce the size of pic files to a more useable size - I've seen them browsing some of the download sources. Another option is to have thumbnail pics with hyperlinks to the larger size pictures, that would allow the page to load faster and then give the viewer the option to click on one of the thumbnails for a larger version of the picture.

Could you post the image tag here so I can see what isn't working? Remember, replace the <s with <s and the >s with >s. Thanks.
