Will Alex work?

Post by Ford Cole »

Question..Will the Lexicon Alex work well for a steel effects processor? What features are available in this unit? Thanks for any information.

It will work, but it would serve better in the effects loop of a mixer or a pre amp. It has a wall wart supply if you need to know about the AC supply on it. Simple little single rack unit with presets and digital read out.

The ALEX is a nice simple effect unit but it is only one effect at a time. It has delay, reverbs and chorus.

If the wall wart doesn't give you any noise problems then at the very least it will provide quite a few more options than the spring tank in a guitar amp do and probably better sounding than some of the newer low-priced processors.
