goodrick H10K pedal

Post by Gary Glisson »

i have a goodrich H10K volume pedal and i think it has a battery in side.
won't to ask anyone that has one of these volume pedals ; do you have to unplug the cable from the pedal to the amp when your not playing? if you don't unplug will it run the battery down? how often do you change the battery? i'am use to the old goodrich with just a pot and string
let me know thanks gary

Yes, there is a battery in the Goodrich H10K pedal. If you unplug the cables when you are not using it, the battery will last a long time, more than a year. I have one, and have played many gigs with it for three or four years now. I carry a spare 9 volt battery, and change it every six months just to keep it fresh. So far, no trouble. Nice pedal, good sound, and so far, not need to replace the pot...

Me too.... same as above. I changed the battery every 6 months just to ease my mind but it is supposed to last a year. No problem. I leave the chords in the pedal all during a gig but always remove them when done practicing at home. The rear one will draw from the battery. I just unplug them both. I love the sound I get from this pot pedal. I ordered two extra pots from Tom Bradshaw just in case I ever need them and they might be history in a few years.

I have a couple of H10K's and I only change the batteries every couple of years. They are each probably used about 4 or 5 hours a week. I always unplug them when I'm through playing. I bought one of them new about 7 or 8 years ago and have never had a problem with it. I bought the other one used 2 or 3 years ago and it has worked fine also.
