Dpc-1000/BW 1501-4 combo

Post by Will Aytes »

Does anyone on the forum have experience with the Peavey DPC-1000 being used with Peavey Black Widow 1501-4 speakers? With steel of course. Just need an experienced hand here to give me the yes's and no's or do not's. Give me some of your experienced thought before I go experimenting. PLEASE

Thanks for your help up Front
Will

I use the Peavey DPC-1400 that is basically the same amp with more power with the 1501-4 speakers. You didn't mention what preamp or preamp/processor you are using with this setup?

The DPC-1000 with the 1501-4 speakers should work just fine.

I have used the DPC750 with 2 Nashville E115 - 1501-4 for about 8 or 9 years and it is a fabulous setup -- along with the a Profex II it is hard to beat.

Thanks for the response. I am using a Transtube Fex along with the DPC-1000 into my hand made cabinets for my BW 1501-4 speakers. I make my cabinets similar to the Marrs cabinets.

Thanks
Will

Will, as long as you adhere to proper operation of the DPC amplifier, ie; DDT compression feature, there should not be any problems.

However, if you have questions, I can be reached here at the factory today only and after Monday of next week. Beginning tomorrow, I will be traveling to the TSGJ in Irving, Texas. Hope to see you there.

In the meantime, I can be reached toll free in North America at 1-877-732-8391.
