Finally finished David Snows 7-string Melobro with the spacing the same as a 6, Beards off set Spider, etc., and I have to say that root on the outside made me feel complete. Being used to always having the outside root in the E tuning - I didn't realize how limited I felt in the G Dobro tuning, it is like opening a door!
Anyway - had to share that.
