Re: Active lead cable
Here we go again! I must have a cable fetish
as I have been reading the specs on various instrument & speaker cable including the shootout Guitar player Magazine did and the Lawrence cable won hands down for sound quality via the scope or the ears not to mention the convenience of the modular aspect of the cable. I came across a
company that has an active impedence matching instrument cable that claims to preserve harmonics with smooth sustain and sharper attack. The cable has an inline diecast battery box that runs on a 9 volt battery and states 1000 hrs battery life. The company is from England and I am not sure about any US disributors?Check out the website. WWW.ACTIVE-LEAD.com I guess I'll be the guinea pig on this one!
[This message was edited by Len Amaral on 24 February 2000 at 06:09 PM.]

[This message was edited by Len Amaral on 24 February 2000 at 06:13 PM.]

Looks like a pre-amp built into a 1/4 plug powered by a 9 volt battery. I'm sure this would give a rich signal to the amp but really, if there is no/little rf noise rideing on the signal, ( like useing a good cord) why do I need a very expensive preamped cord ?
