Fred, it sounds like a typical strat.
This is one of the new Ravenewest budget line guitars. It sells new for $200. It is in serious need of a set up, especially the frets, which are very sharp and uncomfortable.
The better Ravenwest guitars are really nice, but the only thing special about this one is the way it looks.
I love the pick guard, but I'm thinking of putting it on my other strat, which is a really outstanding guitar, and selling this one.

I could under ordinary circumstances, but I'm saving up to buy the 6 million dollar Robert Johnson guitar.
Seriously, I've decided not to keep this one. I'm going to keep the wood pick guard and pickup covers and put them on my other strat (which is really a terrific guitar) and replace them on this one with plastic, and sell it.
Incidentally my other strat bears the lable "VEGA" The Vega company changed hands many times over the years. This guitar was made by a man named Peter Jung who only had the company for 2 years, but made some really exquisite instruments during that time. i have one of his LPs too.
