Jody! Cool! Can I have my pick of guitars?
A nice old double neck, no pedals, Fender in blonde would be great! The one with 3 or 4 legs and tweed case! Or I can take the patio furniture if I have to...
I'll go along with Jody on this one, after all he worked with Leo for what 90 or 100 yrs.

I did some research on this question of the meaning of ASAT and this is what I found out; No one really knows for sure what it means.
Not even the G&L company.
Leo took the meaning to the grave with him and remains a mystery to this day. The following information provided from G&L Dealers in California when the same question was asked to them...
Aantons Music in Newark, CA. - Don't know
Bananas At Large in San Mateo - Don't know
Blue Note Music in Berkeley - Don't know
Guitar Workshop in Sacramento - Don't know
No dealer could give one common answer. Each dealer had a different version.
So, we all are right AND we all are wrong.
How cool is that?
However, I would take Jody's word because of his history at Fender and his relationship with Leo. If the meaning was never written down or written in stone but told to Jody by Leo, that's good enough for me.
In the early years of G&L I remember the meaning to be After Strat and Tele, everything I've heard after that period came much later so it may have developed a legend of its own with people giving it it's own meaning or what they think it should mean.
