James Banks and The Gospel Opry

Post by Rick Garrett »

Just wanted to say thanks to James for the great evening down at the Gospel Opry in Mineola Texas. A great facility with wonderful fellowship and wonderful music. James the Zum sounded fine. The rest of the band did a great job too. Looking forward to the next time!

Sounds like GREAT family time!!! James talked to us in Dallas about the wonderful time they have there.
*(Rick, James and I are cousins. REAL cousins - my maiden name was Banks - and our heritage goes back to Sir John Banks -Corf Castle - England. Cool, huh?)

Many Thanks Rick for the kind words. We have a great time singing country gospel and southern gospel music. This is our second year and things are picking up. Our goal is to lift up praises to our Saviour and provide a little Christian entertainment at the same time. Rick is going to sit in with us for a while and play rhythmn guitar while our regular guy is away for the May show. Our shows are the 3rd Saturday of each month thru October.
Hello Donna, I haven't sat down to review the Banks Video but I will soon.

We ocassionally get up that way and would love to come hear some good gospel music. Can you give us some more details on time, place etc.? Do you have a website? It'd be great to meet some of you. Thanks,
Charley

Hi Charley, My web site is jamcatsound.com. For information on the gospel opry, click on JC GOSPEL OPRY. We feature southern and country gospel with a five peice band and five regular vocalists. We usually have a couple of guest singers each month. This all takes place the 3rd Saturday night of each month. We are scheduled to go thru October. There are directions on the website. I will update the program for April in a day or two. Thanks for your interest.
