Seeking six-string instr. around Fayette Co., GA

Post by Chris Lasher »

Howdy guys,
I hope this is the right place to post this, but here goes.
I my little brother is hoping to get a guitar for his birthday that's coming up. The family lives in Peachtree City, about fifteen minutes from Fayetteville, but I'm here in Athens, so as much as I'd love to teach him, I only see the folks once or twice a month, so I'm looking for a guitar instructor in the area for him. There are a few music stores in around there, and I will talk to them when I go to visit this weekend, but I thought I'd hit up the Forum, for some word-of-mouth recommendations. I'm looking for someone who's super-patient with kids--the little guy's only turning ten. He's big into the Top 40 "Country" on the station these days, (I know, don't roll your eyes, just live with it,) but his absolute favorites are Alan Jackson and, particularly, Brad Paisley, so if there's someone who can cater to that sort of interest, that would be a major plus, too. Thanks in advance for any suggestions!

Get in touch with Dreamcatcher Guitars in Roswell. Teacher there named Tim that does the country Tele thing along with nice fingerstyle. It will be a drive from Ptree City, but worth it.

DreamCatcher has a web site with some links to Tims' playing so they can check it out. Good luck.
