A Tribute To Dottie Rambo

RFD TV will be repeating their tribute to Dottie Monday night at 8pm, for those of you who haven't seen it. Dottie is Ms Female Gospel. I have played, and sang. More Dottie Rambo songs, then i have Hank Williams songs....and i have played a truckload of Hank's song...lol

Thanks George. We'll have to watch that one. Dottie is probly be best Gospel songriter of all time. My wife and I sing several of her songs also.

Can't get RFD on cable here, or would be wanting to see that show...The 'Dolly Days' were some of the best, days of gospel music.
Have some of her albums that I used to play a lot..good stuff...I believe Johnny Cox did the steel work on some of them...For what its worth, gospel music in those days just can't be beat..

Wow, thanks for the heads up George! The Tivo is set!!!
I recently did a gospel CD for my pastor's wife that had a Dottie Rambo tune on it. I told her that you can't have a real gospel record without at least one Dottie Rambo tune on it!

I did not see the tribute but wish I had. Dottie Rambo is a legend in Gospel music, writing more than 1000 songs. I wish I had more of the Rambo albums since they used a lot of steel as well.

Weldon Myrick did most of the steel work on the old Rambo's records. His work on these records was part of the reason I got hooked on this confounded instrument.
