I met Jolly in 1969 in Tex'es barrlell house in bakersfield and set in for a while. He was playing lead & fiddle I believe. George French was on piano. We really drove it back then. Was thinking about it wondering about those guy's.

Hey Kenny, that'd be "Jelly" Sanders! Sorry to say he's now deceased, I'm not sure of the year. I worked for a while with his son Jim who was a pretty good bass player. Someone from Bakersfield will probably come on here before long and let you know more about him, maybe Larry Petree if he's out there......JH in Va.

JR "Jelly" Sanders passed on about ten years ago. He is interned at the Community Cemetery in Porterville, CA.
He was a great musician and entertainer for many, many years. He played fiddle on the syndicated TV country music series "Star Route" in the early 60's and played rhythm guitar on many of Buck Owens Capitol recordings.
Jelly, Bill Woods, Cousin Herb Henson, among others, are legends around here and helped create the "West Coast" country sound.
