Rainsong Guitars
Have any of you heard of Rain Song guitars? They have graphite tops, and are supposed to have a unique sound. Any thoughts on this guitar? I am thinking of buying one.

I recently sold my baritone electric to a guy who played a Rainsong jumbo acoustic. He said it was the loudest guitar he'd ever played, louder than a deep-bowl Ovation, but with a richer, more complex Martin/Taylorlike tone, also very nicely finished.
I almost had a G.A.S. attack, but I took a second look at my Gibson J200 and decided I didn't really need any more expensive flat top boxes.

A friend of mine in Oklahoma used to be the rep for RainSong when they were first marketed. The guitars sounded great back then, but I haven't seen one lately. There are some other companies out there making graphites, but they are not the same. The RainSong's original headstock had a beautiful pearl inlay of a topless hula dancer. This was the only year this inlay was used. He gave me a t-shirt with this on it and I never had the nerve to wear it. He told the manufacturer he couldn't wear any of the shirts or jackets either because he was a local Sunday School teacher.
