I have a friend who I recently turned onto Curly Chalker, and of course, explained to her why he is one of-a-kind, with those wild chords and wilder phrasing, as opposed to other great-in-their-own-right steelers.
Anyway, I was looking on the web for something that mentions Curly was for 18 years the session steeler on HEE HAW.
Tom Bradshaw and Jim Phelps have excellent sites.
But not a word about those 18 years. Even checked a Grand Ole Opry site and their archives don't mention nothing; no surprise here.
Anybody got something about Curly playing the Grand Ole Opry that I could send my friend?
Thanks all.
