Lynn Anderson Busted Again

Post by Drew Howard »

(NYT) - Lynn Anderson, who won a Grammy for ``Rose Garden'' in 1970, is accused of shoplifting a Harry Potter DVD from a supermarket and then punching a police officer as she was being put into a patrol car.

In December, Anderson was charged with drunk driving after police found her passed out in her car on the shoulder of a highway near Denton, Texas.

Anderson, who lives in Taos, was the Country Music Association's female vocalist of the year in 1971. She released a bluegrass album last year called ``Pure Country,'' her first album in 12 years.

Under the Freedom Of Information Act, aren't we entitled to see a mug shot?

I myself admire a woman that sees what she wants and then TAKES IT.

A lot of people don't realise that the qualities that make them good performers don't fit well with the "regular crowd".

My particular vice is littering. MacDonalds bags, six packs of emptys (pop cans), you name it. Mostly at night, and I'm an expert grade marksman with the old pop-bottle-over-the-roof-at-freeway-signs crossover technique.

It's all in the wrist.

Back in the days before it was considered grossly criminal, I used to be pretty good at shooting road signs. Those little glass reflectors are sadly now, a thing of the past.

Lynn, as they say:

YOU GO GIRL!!

She was also a very good-looking woman in those days. I'm not sure I want to see a mug shot from the present.

Sad, Sad. How does someone drop from stardom to such a level. Ask George Jones. How does someone pull themself back? Ask George Jones. (God bless him, one and only original). I hope she does straighten herself out, Glen too.

She's obviously in serious trouble (and I don't mean with the law). Pray for her.

Liquor's a wonderful thang, ain't it boys?

I did not mean to be so hard on her. I am compasionate about people in trouble, and pray she will get her life back on track. I pray she has good friends and family who she can lean on for support. Glen Campbell also. What a waste. I have seen first hand what alcohol or drugs can do to a person, and it is never pretty.

Sounds like a plea for help to me, why would you go through the trouble to lift an $18 DVD? Craig

I can think of a couple of instances where alcohol and drugs made some women look EXTREMELY pretty. The next morning I sobered up Image.

(This is not really a funny topic at all, but I couldn't resist injecting just a little humor, a la' HowardR or Earnest Bovine.)
[This message was edited by Herb Steiner on 07 February 2005 at 12:19 PM.]
