danny gatton unfinished business

was on my local jazz station out of newark nj
WBGO and there was steel on it. the first time i have heard steel on the station. i am assuming the E.

Probably Danny himself!

There's no steel credit on the liner notes (below), but it does say "guitars". Maybe Buddy will chime in and set the record straight. I'm unaware of any other steeler that Danny might have recorded with, but Danny himself is credited with playing pedal steel on one of his CD's. I know he played lap-steel, but I never saw him play pedal steel.

He could sure burn it on straight guitar! Image

I'm pretty sure it was Danny playing steel on Unfinished Business. (I just love Cherokee!)

Danny told me he had a pedal steel and if I remember correctly I think he said someone gave it to him.
