Tony CD was cut back before I even met Redd; so I can't speculate of which Steel Murph was playing; but Redd knows for sure. I'm almost thinking it was his Bethel; but certainly could be the Blue Sho~bud, as Murph could dial in the same tone on any steel he played..ah..ha.

Man, that's wonderful pickin'!!!!!! I hadn't listened to that album in a while. Me thinks I'll dig it out as soon as my behind gets home and give it a spin. Thank you for the post. Hmmmm, I just checked his web site, I see the live CD, but I don't see a DVD for sale. Tony, I didn't see any guitar instructions on Redd's site. I don't have a DVD player.
Do you guys know of any other players that play like Redd that have instruction courses?

Terry; Tony is taking about a "Live Show" DVD Redd has/had for sale. It was filmed at Egos in Austin,Texas and it was Redd(On guitar) Billy Dee(On Bass) and Chris Gilson(On drums) and is not a instructional DVD> it's a Show.
However; you could certainly learn from the live show DVD; but all you'll learn is that you want to throw away your guitar and never try it again; after seeing/hearing Redd play.
And NO there is nobody else in the world that can play like that.
Redd does have "Licks of the month" in the "Pork Chops" Section on his site; as they are not really instructional but some just outstanding ideas and moves, that one could possibly grasp.

And NO there is nobody else in the world that can play like that.
I would imagine that's true, but what I meant was anybody that plays similar to Redd.
There's got to be some super guitar pickers out there (similar to Redds style) that has instructional books, CD's whatever.
BTW- those pork chop licks are great, if only he would tab em for us.;(
