Blue Chistmas with pedal steel by.......?
I was driving around yesterday here in LA. The big classic rock station had just finished a set of Van Halen, and the DJ then played a version of this song.
It was sung by a female, was slower, and had pedal steel featured as the main background instrument. I could not nail the voice and was stumped as to who it could be, seeing as how it was played on this particular station. And I am not aware of any of this artists' other songs that have ever had a pedal steel within 20 miles. Sheryl Crow? k.d.Lang? Linda Ronstadt? Nope. When they said who it was at the end I almost went off the road.
Anyone want to take a guess?

I've heard Jewel do a pretty good arrangement of "Winter Wonderland" with some real nice steel.

Have you read elsewhere here on the Forum who was one of the writers who never got his due credit for writing the song {Blue Christmas}? Check out “Events and Announcements” to find out who it was. -- (A hint)--[He was the Father of one of our favorite Forum-Members!
