LAST LETTER B Bowman's version
A while back I discovered THE LAST LETTER and realized it is one of the greatest classic country songs. I have Jack Greene's and Dayna Wills versions but suddenly realized Bobby Bowman has it on his PURE AND SIMPLE CD, it is AWESOME!! I predict that CD will go down in history as one of the very best steel guitar recordings ever.

Well Billy,,,I thank you for the very kind words. The "Last Letter" is one of my all time favorite songs. One of the producers and engineers of the "Pure and Simple" CD was Jack Greene's drummer for many years, Don Lacy. Last year I Got to hear Laney Hicks version and it was one of the big inspirations to cut it on my CD. I even got to play it with her at the Oklahoma show this past Memorial Day week-end with Russ Hicks playing bass. Man, you talk about a "trip",,,, that was one for me.
Happy Holidays and God bless,
