Music Poll

Post by David Mason »

The brilliant auteurs of the music business have shown great perspicaciousness of late in identifying trends - and then beating the stuffing out of them. Given this;
1) Now that Gretchen Wilson has raised the bar with "Redneck Woman", just how many MORE "loud ignorant drunken women with balls" videos will we be subjected to?
2) How many more "beach videos" before they've beaten, stabbed, shot, burned, and mutilated THAT dead puppy, and buried it with full honors?
3) Given the unexpected success of "Whisky Lullaby" with Brad Paisley and Alison Krauss, can we expect to see a "Guzzler's Goodbye", "Requiem for a Dead Drunk", an "Etude for a Dude?" Will Martina McBride sing ALL of them (sniff), or will they farm a few out to some new bouncy young things?

1. They will contine until people stop buying them.
2. see #1
3. No, but expect more duets. Drinking songs are not as popular as in 60s - 80s. (We're too politically correct.)

Enjoy them, the next trend will probably be worse.
At least these have Steel Guitar in them.
