Favorite Dozen

Post by Craig A Davidson »

OK, Here's the deal. You are a singer and you get a contract to do an album. There are twelve cuts on it. The catch is that you have to use a different steeler on each cut. Can you use your favorite steelers and not leave any out? I would like to know cause for me it is next to impossible.
I have:
Buddy
Lloyd
Paul
Tommy
Mooney
Brumley
Myrick
Rugg
Steiner
Rheinhard
Dickey
Hughey
I know I left somebody out. Sorry

Just can't leave out the West Coast King of Steel: Mr. Jay Dee Maness +
some of the other Texas pickers too:
Herb Steiner
Jim Loesberg
Bobby Flores
Rick Price
We all have favorites & you named some of the best but these would be on mine also..
Thanks Ron

HAH ! Simple solution, I'd just form a Steel Guitar Orchestra and include them all ! Image Image Image

Yeah a tough choice.
Most anyone above.
Don Helms for a classic retro cut.

Seems these guys are always at the head of the list :
Buddy
Lloyd
Paul

I would get my self on 1 cut anyway, even if I don't make my favorites list.. Image

I got Herb but forgot the others. See what I mean. Then do you still get them in the twelve cuts?

I would like to have Craig Davidson and Mark Wayne play on my version of the old Bill Anderson chestnut "Sometimes."

Mark could play the fills while Craig and I sing!!

"Do you ever tune that thing?"

"Sometimes....."
