Squier quality/ Mini Strat?
Has anybody ever messed with one of these? They have a 22.75" scale, so it seem as though they might be good for something if you tuned them up a step or step and a half higher. How is Squier quality control these days?

It depends on which Squier your talking about.
I looked at the new Squier line and found it wanting, and got a MexicanTele.
But I have a friend here who had an OLD Fender Squirer Strat and regrets selling it.
Basically a student or womans sized, shorter scale, Strat but a real Strat nonetheless.
Someone actually paid for him to build a custum Strat just so he could get the Fender Squier Strat guitar in exchange.
But my buddy wishs he still had the Fender Squier.
The new marque Squier doesn't seem to be more than an import budget unit, good for beginners under the x-mas tree.
But the Fender Tele mexico, I just got feels and sounds very good. Especially in my 50's tweed Champ
[This message was edited by David L. Donald on 30 September 2004 at 04:27 AM.]
