Motorcycle Guitar

Post by Jack Francis »

A friend in Rohnert Park, CA, builds some of the finest guitars being made, MJ Guitars.
He built a motorcycle guitar that is a MUST see.
He hand crafted everything on the guitar, including the engine and front fork assembly. Then he made a poster of it with a photo of his dad (or Step father),on a Harley with some friends taken in the mid 50's on his way to California, in the background. A truely awesome piece of work.
Here is the link.

At the Music Live show two years ago there was a display of V8 guitars, with 8 chromed stacks.

Yeah, but does it sound like a push-pull? Image

Seriously, nice work! He should get together with David Wright.

I don't know if any of you steelers that were around the Bay Area in the early to mid 80's remember a guy that had a motorcylce that he made resembling a guitar. I think his name was Ray Nelson. I think he actually drove from California to Nashville on it.

Richard, you're absolutely right! Ray Nelson was/is his name, and yes he rode a Harley-Davidson that looked like a guitar. The last I heard, he still has it, still rides it around here in San Jose, California. The last time I saw him was just a few years ago riding down 280 heading for highway 17.
