Chet/Jerry video - score!

Post by Ray Gehringer »

Hello Folks,

Felt like getting out at lunch today so I went by Tower Records and browsed around a little. I was checking out the Country CD section and I saw a DVD on the shelf right above the section for artists who's name starts with A and it turned out to be Chet Atkins and Jerry Reed Live at the Bottom Line in 1992. I looked at the price and did a double take... $7.99. So for a grand total of $8.64 after tax Jerry and Chet will be playing in my living room tonight. Those are the kind of bargains I like!

I have that video. Chet did good as usual, but I think Jerry was spaced out drunk, I wasn't impressed with his performance.

I'll watch it tonight after work. For $8 it's worth it though for any of Chet's performances.

I have the video. I really liked it. For what it is worth, on a finger-picker's guitar forum Paul Yandell mentioned that Jerry had been, and I believe still was, ill during the show. I don't recall the problem, however, I seem to think he had the flu or some such and was medicated.
