Award news from Yellow Rose Records

The Academy of Western Artists awards show was held in Ft. Worth on Tuesday evening, July 13th. The AWA is truly a great organization that is dedicated to preserving Western art, books, poetry, and music. The Will Rogers award is an incredible honor to receive and two of our Yellow Rose artists had the pleasure of accepting those awards.

Congratulations are in order for Christine Mims and Bobby Flores! Christine Mims won the AWA's Will Rogers award for "Western Swing Female Vocalist of the Year" and Bobby won the AWA's Will Rogers award for "Western Swing Instrumentalist of the Year". Both also performed at the awards show and it was an incredibly exciting evening.

Congratulations again, Christine and Bobby, and keep up the good work.
