Waiting for my copy from Amazon along with the new Dale Watson and Ed Burleson. I have heard a few tracks online and Have Mercy On Me kicks.
I'm wondering what Conway would have thought.

It's kinda funny how things work out. Over the last month I got to visit Butcher Holler whilst the wife & daughter demanded we take a vacation detour to my wife's childhood home in Paintsville, Kentucky. Van Lear is the name of the little settlement outside of Paintsville that Butcher Holler is just a mile up Van Lear road from. There is a general store in Van Lear that was (if I remember correctly) Consolidate Coal Company, Company Store #2, built around 1902. Lots of Loretta Lynn/Crystal Gayle memorabilia plus antiques from the coal mining days.

I read a little interview with Loretta where she said she hadn't had that much fun making a CD in years cuz it was done so simply. I'm really interested to hear this one.

I think it's a great CD. I'd give it four
stars. I do wish Jack White had used Hal
Rugg on a few songs. Loretta's singing is
better than ever, and so is her song writing.
