Little Jimmy" Dickens surgery

Post by Smiley Roberts »

This,from Marty Martel:
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Little Jimmy Dickens is at the Cleveland Clinic where he will undergo the second half of a procedure that was completed one month ago, to put a stint into the arteries of his neck. He is in great spirits and hopefully will return home Thursday and Friday. So please keep him in your prayers. He is the living treasure of country music.
I just love the way that Brad Paisley sneaks the little rascal into his songs and videos!
Hi Smiley, Thanks for letting us know about the tater, and please keep us posted. I got to work with him several times back in the early 60's when I was at the Georges Roundups in Long Beach Ca. Can't help but love the guy. By the way, I sure did enjoy visiting with you in Dallas. In case you don't remember, you came over to mine and Al Bruno's table on sunday, thanks, I enjoyed the visit. Say hi to Peaches Price for me if you see her. db
Get well soon 'Tater". We all owe Little Jimmy Dickens as he was the one who brought Buddy Emmons to Nashville, and as they say, the rest is history. Jody.
Jimmy, all the best to ya. In my opinion, he'll always be known as MR. ENTERTAINMENT" The Greatest showman around. OBTW I'm still amazed to watch him time out his T.V. Opry segments. No instrumental as just filler here. Whether vocal or not, the last note can usually be heard as the picture fades. PERFECT TIMING FROM A REAL PRO ! How many others can do that ?
(edited to say, "God my keyboard is stuttering bad tonight)
